Shoaib ready to take up Pakistan bowling coach role but PCB denies

       Former Pace ace Shoaib Akhtar said he is ready totake up the role of Pakistan's new bowling coach if Pakistan Cricket board(PCB) agrees. PCB has been looking for a bowling coach since march. The board has set up a three-man committee to find a suitable candidate.

         The 37 year old fast bowler said "I am ready to be the bowling coach for Pakistan. If the PCB contacts me then I will offer my services." But the PCB coach hunt committe has shown no interest in Shoaib's offer. A member of the committee said that he is not eligible due to lack of qualifications as a professional coach.

        Akhtar has taken 178 wickets in 46 Test matches at average of 25.69 and 247 wickets in 163 ODI matches at an average of 24.97 for Pakistan. His career had been plagued with injuries, controversies and accusation of poor attitude.
